ITRS Group

The Requirement:
ITRS Group is a leading provider of risk mitigation and application performance monitoring (APM) solutions to global financial institutions.

When the company’s founders decided to sell a majority shareholding in the company to the Carlyle Group, the global alternative asset manager with approximately $153 billion of assets under management, ITRS turned to Moonlight Media to create the public relations strategy for this acquisition.

 

The Results:
Liaising with the Carlyle Group’s European in-house PR team, we created and developed the strategy for positioning the ITRS acquisition within Carlyle’s portfolio of technology companies. This encompassed devising the core messaging elements and developing FAQs for communicating to both external (investors/ clients/ suppliers/ etc.) and internal (employees) audiences and collaborating in positioning of the key executives and briefing the senior management.

The second strand of the strategy involved communicating and presenting the acquisition to the appropriate media, including a television interview of Carlyle Group and ITRS Group senior executives by Sarah Lockett of ITN and issuing press releases and negotiating follow-up interviews.

This co-ordinated strategy resulted in clear communications and continuity of messaging with high-quality coverage in the appropriate publications and media.
